Books you love, (or have not even read, don't matter)
that have similar covers to OTHER books.
How does this make you feel?
What's with this? & I said "similar". But color is different yes, pose is different yes, but the STYLE on the book. The fonts? LOL. I am not sure if this is cool or not but if they were side by side would you not think they were in a series (... just pretend you don't see the names lol)
I LOVE both covers, of course I do. The girl on Touching the Surface IS JENNY! I know authors use a lot of stock photos or whatnot. BUT, THAT'S JENNY. & THOSE ARE HER origami birds!!!

Oh wow, the Armentrout/Maxwell covers. That is so lazy!
ReplyDeleteJenny also has origami birds? That's cool. They're in Touching the Surface too. These are dissimilar enough, though obviously from the same shoot, that I'm cool with it.
Wow. I hated that Wallbanger cover, and apparently it's a stock photo. Awesome. Same with On Dublin Street.
That girl in Simplicity is on like EVERY cover. I'm pretty sure she's also on Evermore and North of Beautiful, which are both Big 6 covers.
And of course, the Carrier of the Mark picture is also on the next book in that series, only they flipped it and changed the dress to purple. It's the EXACT same photo.
The first two definitely makes me think they are a series, without looking at the authors. The rest, make me wonder if it isn't the publisher's play on covers, trying to gain momentum for the book based off a popular one.
ReplyDeleteYea i've seen thousands of books with the same models but in different color schemes/art work, etc. but i hate when people use the same typography lol that's lazy for real
