Top Ten Tuesday (10/2)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish
This week's topic is;

Top Ten "Older" Books You Don't Want People To Forget About
(you can define older however you wish. Basically just backlisted books you think are great. Basically the point is to share books that could be forgotten about in the midst of all the new releases)

1.) The Giver by Lois Lowry
Such an amazing book that EVERYONE should read! It is a "classic" but it does not -speak- in a way as to why I cannot read many classics!! This book you should add to your TBR, & read it.
2.) The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
I read this in JR. High. I loved it and I cannot wait until my son is old enough so that I can share this book with him. I feel he will really like it and he loves to read, & he has a copy of his own when it's time!
3.) The Stud by Jackie Collins
Jackie Collins, I love her books. I've read a TON of them, but I think this is the OLDEST book that I have read! The Bitch (book #2) is just as good!
4.) Texas! Lucky by Sandra Brown
Oh Lucky! *swoon* I need to re-read this WHOLE series. I was absolutely in love when I read it!
5.) Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson
*tear* such a great, amazing SAD book. Read it.
6.) The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
I loved the movie. LOVED it. I read the book after the book, and all I have to say is... shame on you Hollywood... this could have been a *series*. The book is so much better then the movie... of course.
7.) A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
I loved this book when I was younger! One of my favorites!
8.) Tell Me A Secret by Holly Cupula
Not really an OLD book, but an older one that I want everyone to read. This book was fabulous!
9.) The Book of Lost Things by John Connoly
If you have not read this.... (tisk, tisk) so good. OH SO GOOD!!
10.) Along Came A Spider by James Patterson
Another James Patterson. I have read only 2 books in this series, I do not even have the others (sad face) but I need to get them! Loved the 1st 2, and this series will hook you!

  5. I don't think I have even heard of The Book of Lost Things. I am going to have to look that one up! You wanna know something crazy? I honestly don't think I have ever read a Jackie Collins book. Not that I have avoided them on purpose or anything, I just never read one. Perhaps I should!
