A good Halloween book? Anything by Darren Shan! He is fun and easy to read and his books are seriously creepy. Lord Loss is my favorite, but I'm reviewing his new one, Zom-B, tomorrow as part of my Bloggers Dressed In Blood event.

of course i loove coraline, but you know John Conolly ( author of the book of lost things ) he also wrote a book of short scary stores called "The Nocturnes" good short scary reads!

ReplyDeleteI think ghost stories always kick my butt (ghost movies too-still haven't watched the Paranormal Activity movies ) but I am actually really enjoying Kendare Blake's books, Anna Dressed in Blood and Girl of Nightmares. I have them on audiobook but I would like to pick them up in print eventually.

ReplyDeletehmm.. i usually avoid scary books. i read at night, sometimes with the lights off (if i read on my ipod), and if i read scary book i'm afraid i won't be able to sleep :D

I usually avoid typical scary books, and I don't consider it Halloween reading unless it scares me. So there are very few.
ReplyDeleteI have read John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles which gave me a few nightmares. There are 6 novel total but they are all super short.
I like JL Merrow's shifter story SNARED.
