Top Ten Tuesday (9/25)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish
This weeks topic is;
Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished
(because either you didn't like them, you just have procrastinated, etc)

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
~I actually "just" started this series! I am so excited that I did. Because I loved this book, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series I have procrastinated to start! I hope the rest of the series is just as good as Body Finder #1!
The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa
I loved The Iron King. But, I just never got around to the other books. I had intentions to, then I am not sure what happened! I do plan on it, I am just not sure when I actually will... maybe soon? I did think that book #1 was fabulous. Having read another book from Kagawa (The Immortal Rules) I know that she is a fantastic author!
Mythos Academy by Jennifer Estep
NOT A CLUE why I have not finished this series. Like every other one, I have "intentions" to... but something seems to happen. Oh yeah, not enough time, I get side tracked. But oh my how I loved book #1. & Logan is defintly enough reason to go back and devour this series.
The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller
What is wrong with me? If you all know me you know that I L.O.V.E.D The Eternal Ones. So why have I NOT read book #2? I have no freaking idea. I think I am nervous because I loved The Eternal Ones so much, that I am scared book #2 will not live up to it, and then where will I be?
The Immortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
Not. A. Fan. I read book #1. I know, I know, I have heard that it gets better. But I was just so not in love with this book. It was good yes, but wth. It took me 1/2 the book to even get "involved" and then the ending just smashed up all the feelings that I had for it that were good. I am not sure when I will continue the series.
Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost
Bones! BONES! I need to get back to my Bones! *sigh* I read book #1. What is it with me reading 1 book then stopping for a long amount of time? Sheesh. I did have BIG "intentions" to read this, but then life got hectic like WOAH! & I had to study, and then we moved. But as soon as I can sit down and read, and actually have the "enjoyable" moment when reading again... (Which is coming back, slowly but surely) I will devour all I can of this series. I defiantly need more ADULT books, and relationships in my life... now.
Songs of Magic by J. L. Bryan
I have read the first 2 books in this series (Fairy Metal Thunder; Fairy Blues) & I have the other 2 ready! I love this YA series of awesomeness. J L Bryan is amazing at creating the magical world in this series. & the characters are simply amazing. Cannot wait to finish the other 2... you know... when I get time? Ugh..
Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris
I would rather watch the show? That is what it seems like. I read the first 3 or 4! But then the show came on and I was hooked. I wanted to see what the show had to say rather then the books, although I know I will be picking up the books again, possibly before the show comes back.. because.. True Blood is crazy weird right now, and not very interesting (the T.V show)
Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard
I started this series back in 2010, maybe. I read the 1st 3. & I am just now starting to get back around to them. I read #4 last month, because I became a PLL (T.V show) addict, and I wanted to see how the books differ. I do plan to read 1 a month, until I finish the series!
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Needed a "vampire" break and it seems I never went back. Now, there are so MANY more to read.. I've read 4, and I am not even sure how many there are in the series now, but... eventually?

I am seriously a procrastinator, I need to change that and buckle done & finish these series... eventually!

What about you?
What are the series you have started, but not finished?

  1. I've read the whole PLL series, and it was really good. Well, the original series was good, I think there's a new one now... I won't be reading that.

  2. I've read nearly all the Sookie Stackhouses, the show and the books are great, but I need more time!! Top Ten Tuesday

  3. The Body Finders series - - SO GOOD! I didn't LOVE Desires of the Dead as much as TBF BUT The Last Echo was freaking FABULOUS. So creepy too!

I haven't even started some of these series on your list and I feel like they are like those series that EVERY YA lover has read -- Vampire Academy, the mortal instruments series, PLL.

With PLL, I got into the show and thought they were probably too similar. Are they different or essentially the same?

  4. Love this list! I finished the Iron King series by Kagawa (and the Immortal Rules) and loved them both! So, so good.

And, like, you, I read the Body Finder and loved it, but haven't gotten to the rest of the series yet either.

BUT don't judge - I did LOVE The Mortal Instruments. Have read the first three and adored them but haven't gotten around to the rest. The Infernal Devices series she writes is even better. (You should check them out)

    WE need more time! ;)

  5. good list! Sookie Stackhouse and PLL on ours too. its hard to keep them straight the whole books and tv shows thing

    -Katie @Inkk

  6. I haven't finished the Sookie Stackhouse series but I can't say its because of the show as I haven't seen it. I haven't started Vampire Academy or The Iron Fey series yet, though I have the whole VA series here. I'll get there. lol

  7. The Vampire Academy series is TOTALLY worth finishing. It's amazing! :)

    My Top Ten

  8. I started the first Sookie Stackhouse book but never finished it. I agree with you, I would rather watch the tv show. I feel the same way about Pretty Little Liars. I never considered reading those books but I am addicted to the show. It's frustrates me to no end, but I can't stop watching it.

  9. Vampire Academy series is done, so you read the last 2 and no more is coming out, so that would be a good one to finish! :D
I need to finish the Mythos Academy series as well!

Missing out... big time.. just saying...lol

I haven't finished Sookie Stackhouse either, nor do I even watch the show anymore. I finished season 2, and never went back after that.

    Series I haven't finished

  11. Oh goodness I'm sure if I went through my shelves I would have so many series that I started but never got the chance to finish. I would say try again with TMI series because I didn't like book one either but I'm now all the way in the middle of the fourth book so the series does get better. Although no matter what I've never really been a fan of Jace lol
