Passion as hot as midnight in the South and love as wild as the horses they tame.Camille “Cami” Hines is the darling daughter of the South’s champion thoroughbred breeder, Jack Hines. She has a pedigree that rivals some of her father’s best horses. Other than feeling a little suffocated at times, Cami thought she was pretty happy with her boyfriend, her life and her future.
But that was before she met Patrick Henley.“Trick” blurs the lines between what Cami wants and what is expected of her. He’s considered the “help,” which is forbidden fruit as far as her father is concerned, not to mention that Trick would be fired if he ever laid a hand on her. And Trick needs his job. Desperately. His family depends on him.The heart wants what the heart wants, though, and Trick and Cami are drawn to each other despite the obstacles. At least the ones they know of.When Trick stumbles upon a note from his father, it triggers a series of revelations that could ruin what he and Cami have worked so hard to overcome. It turns out there’s more to Trick’s presence at the ranch than either of them knew, secrets that could tear them apart.

From the very start you are pulled in by the characters and wrapped up into this amazing story about 2 characters from 2 different worlds.
Cami is the rich girl, who is not a snooty bitch! Now that won me over right away. She's not your typical rich girl. Her mentality goes way beyond that. She knows exactly what it's like to not have money, because she's not always been with it. She is home from school for the summer, and and is determined to learn the ropes of her father's business. So that one day, she can take over where he leaves off. Cami is dating the "perfect" guy that he father agrees is right for her. But that soon is about to change, and it takes one second for Cami's life to be flipped upside down.... in a good way.
Trick works with the horses for Cami's father. Keeping his job is very important. He'a not rich, in fact his family needs him to have this job right now. So Trick will do everything he has to do to keep it.
While out with one of her friends Cami meets this drop dead gorgeous man that sets her insides on fire. She's not sure why this stranger has such a strong impact on her, but he does. That's when she realizes that maybe this oh so perfect boyfriend of her's really isn't what she needs... or wants. She defiantly wants to know more about the mysterious, sexy, cowboy who is Trick. When he is around she has a hard time fighting what she feels when he is around. Wanting to do right by her father Cami tries to fight how she is feeling, and stick it out with Brent. But in her mind all she can think about is how Trick makes her feel.
“Trick looks up and his eyes meet mine. I am a deer caught in the headlights. I am a girl charmed by the cobra. I am breathless and mesmerized. And then he grins. Just like that, I'm his. Whether he knows it or not.”
Cami being the daughter of Trick's boss makes this a difficult situation. She's the girl he can't touch, but wants noting more then to do just that.
The Wilds Ones was amazing. The characters were fun, and right down amazing. The book gives you alternating POV's which I love! When you get to take a look inside the head of BOTH characters it makes you feel more connected to them. & connected I was.. especially to Trick. When he seen Cami he knew exactly what he wanted. & went right for it. I found myself wanting to scream at Cami. But then understanding her reasons as to why she did not just jump on Trick... right off.
This story is full of so much. You will laugh, swoon and even shed a few tears. M.  Leighton knows how to write an amazing story. Get your copy of The Wild Ones today. You will not regret it.
"Trick as in trick or treat? That kind of trick?” - Cami
“Pick 'treat'. Please, for the love of God, pick 'treat'." -Trick
