Fairy Metal Thunder Read-A-Long: Week 1

Week 1:

1. At the beginning of the story, the Assorted Zebras are just a garage band, but they are expecting to make it big. Who knows, you just might find yourself at one of their concerts someday. Until then, show me your favorite concert t-shirt. It could be a picture of a concert you actually attended or a pic of a vintage tee of your favorite band. Be sure to tell me the story behind the tee.

I have a ton of Bob Marley & Marilyn Monroe & Run DMC shirts.
I'll take some pics of myself in things, next week. Because I have a major migraine.

2. Jason’s mom forces him to agree to do some yard work for Mrs. Dullahan, which wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t rumored to be a witch. Tell me about the worst chore you were ever forced to do. Who make you do it? Bonus points if you have a picture to share of you doing the dirty work.

I hate laundry! Hate it. On laundry day I will wash and dry all the clothes, and pile them up. Then fold them all up, later way later on in the day! Which is really more work if I think about it, but oh well. I can only achieve this when my hubby is at work. I think if he knew of my laundry day routine he would be like "WTF"

3. Uh oh! There seems to be a jewelry thief in the neighborhood. Have you have had anything stolen from you? Or have you ever lost something precious? Did you ever find it? Make a Reward if Found poster for the stolen or lost item. Convince us to find it for you. Make the reward good!

4. In Faerie, Jason declares himself as Jason the Guy Who Wants That Necklace Back. Weird, but then again every name has a meaning. What does your name mean? What is the origin? Do you go by any kind of nicknames? How did you get that nickname?
My name: Loretta Lynn
Loretta~
Spanish Meaning:
In Spanish the meaning of the name Loretta is: laurel or bay. Also refers to the name of the town Loreto, where the holy house of the Virgin Mary was reputed to have been moved to during the 13th century.

Anglo-Saxon Meaning:

Italian Meaning:
In Italian the meaning of the name Loretta is: The laurel tree or sweet bay tree symbolic of honor and victory. Old name with many variants.

Nicknames: Rett, Retta, Mom, Lo,
The Rett & Retta have always been my nicknames. And then my brother really couldn't say my name when he was younger, so it stuck!
5. When Jason gets home from his all night adventures through Fairy, his parents unfairly ground him for a month! Care to share a time you were grounded by your parents for no good reason?
Hahaha!! I always got grounded. ALWAYS! I was a rather rebellious kid/teen so it happened. Later on when I got older, I just waited until my mom went to sleep and got my phone back and plugged everything back in. Army crawled through her room to get my music or what not. ;)

  2. I love that you army crawled through your mom's room. That's epic. I hate folding laundry as well. For me it sits in the basket until I run out of baskets to do laundry and then I eventually fold it all.

  3. Bwahahaha! I love that you crawled through her room to get your stuff. She must have been a heavy sleeper.

Funny thing is that I hate wearing any type of footwear. I mean, yeah, I love shoes, but only when I'm outside. At home I never wear shoes or socks. I hate wearing socks. I wear flip flops most of the year (as I live in Arizona). All that said, those socks look comfy.

As far as laundry goes, I wish Hubs was a work more so I could get away with it. I hate laundry. I don't mind washing it and putting it in the basket, but I don't want to fold it and I detest putting it away. Can't wait til my girls get old enough to do it themselves.

    (hope your head feels better!!)

  7. The case of the missing socks! I think there are little creatures that steal socks in the night. It's the most reasonable theory I've heard.

I'm glad to hear that at least a couple of people in this scavenger hunt were properly delinquent as teenagers!

  8. I hate laundry! I often pile my stuff up and then not fold it for days. It ends up all over the floor. I used to be better but now I'm like why waste all this time lol I was a rebel too. I always did what I wanted and just waited till my mom went to sleep too! My brother and I snuck in and would get back out Nintendo she took!

  9. I'm not a fan of laundry also! And I was thinking, maybe a goblin stole your fuzzy pink socks, lol
