Day 3's topic is:
Networking...in real life.
Well I am here to tell you, I live in WV.
Nothing really exciting happens here!!
& there is not even a book store close by since they closed, unless you count Walmart...
and I DO NOT.
You must drive at-least 45 min to get to one.
Last year we had the West Virginia Book Festival.
Which I did not get to attend.
I will be there this year!
Charlaine Harris will be there this year. Epic Win!!
& Me and the hubby are going to YALLFest in SC in November!!
SUPER excited about that.
SUPER excited about that.
He already put in his days to be off, so Yay!
Also, my IRL friend is also a blogger... I network with her...
You MIGHT know her ;D

ANGELA @ READING ANGEL
I have known her for over 10 years and I am so glad to be in the blogging world with her!!
So what do you like to do, or do you do?
I would love to read about your fun adventures in the book world
Hopefully one day mine will be more interesting!!
=D

I feel so lucky to live around a good Indie! Where I went to college there wasn't an indie and I drove 1 1/2 to go to one.
ReplyDeleteAlso - I went to YAll Fest last year and it was epic! I hope I can go again this year - but we'll see =)
That's so cool that you get to go to the book festival! I hope you have a blast! Honestly, I don't end up going to a lot of bookish related events either, unless they're academic events related to my field of study. Still, I'd love to go to more!
ReplyDeleteI live in a small town too though we do have one bookstore! No book festivals though - anywhere!
ReplyDeleteMy networking is solely at an annual book fair too. The Printers Row Lit Fest takes place this weekend and I love talking to all the indie publishers as well as guest authors.
ReplyDeleteMy networking doesnt exist! Lol. Since I'm new and all, its very hard, plus I may live righhttt by NYC and I'm sure that makes it easier, but the only bloggers I know are far away. Maybe one day I'll get to go to a cool event :-D

I understand not having a local bookstore. I live in SE Nebraska and I have to go to Omaha or south to Topeka, KS to find a book store. I do a lot of purchasing on line and LOVE the local library. Have a great time at your upcoming event.
ReplyDeleteAw, it's a bummer that you don't have many book stores but you do have conventions and that ROCKS! That's what we DON'T have in south Florida, lol. I really hope I can go to one someday!

Aw, that's sad that you have no good bookstores near you. The WV Book Festival sounds like a good time. I just discovered a local annual YA festival, which is amazing! It is the only think we got where I live. :)

I'll be at YallFest as well! It's the first bookish event I'll be attending since I started blogging. We should meet up!
ReplyDeleteAnd it so sucks you have no bookstores by you! I agree that Walmart does NOT count. I actually work at my local Books A Million so I lucked out with that one but I live in New Bern, North Carolina where absolutely nothing happens except for Nicholas Sparks. And once you get to know him, that isn't anything special either. :/
I am so excited that you are going to YALLfest!! I am going to do everything in my power to get there this year too!! I live so close already! I hope we get to hang out!
