Diary,
I am locked away . . . with no one to confide in but you . . . and him. His fur, those claws—they caught me off guard at first, but now I'm noticing something else about him—something deeper. It's the look in his eye. It tells me he's got a secret to keep. That's okay—I've got one, too. I think I'm falling in love with him. . . .Lindy
My Thoughts:
I am a big fan of Alex Flinn; Beastly was the first book I read from Flinn and I feel in love with the re-telling of the classic Beauty & The Beast. Since then I have become a big fan of re-tellings and recently finished Bewitching. (review).
Lindy's Diary gives you insight on how Lindy was feeling through out the events that took place in Beastly. This novella was a great addition to Beastly. The only problems I had was it was short. Although most novellas are, I just would have liked to have more of my favorite parts in beastly through Lindy's eyes. Other than that I adored this novella.
I recommend reading Beastly before reading this. It would be rather confusing if you have not.

I have been wanting to read Beastly forever and I still haven't. I think I will have to buy it soon. Great mini review.
ReplyDeleteLol see now I shall have to read Beastly so that I can read all of the spin offs from it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review!
I thought Beastly was cute! But I'm not sure if I wanna read this yet.
