    Book Summary:

New York Times bestselling adult true crime author Gregg Olsen makes his YA debut with EMPTY COFFIN, a gripping new fiction series for teens based on ripped-from-the-headlines stories…with a paranormal touch.
Crime lives--and dies--in the deceptively picture-perfect town of Port Gamble (aka “Empty Coffin”), Washington. Evil lurks and strange things happen--and 15-year-olds Hayley and Taylor Ryan secretly use their wits and their telepathic “twin-sense” to uncover the truth about the town's victims and culprits.
Envy, the series debut, involves the mysterious death of the twins' old friend, Katelyn. Was it murder? Suicide? An accident? Hayley and Taylor are determined to find out--and as they investigate, they stumble upon a dark truth that is far more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.
Based on the shocking true crime about cyber-bullying, Envy will take you to the edge--and push you right over.

My Thoughts:
Lets start with the cover! Can you say "CREEPIEST COVER AWARD"? Wow, I love it. It draws you into this book. Makes you WANT to read it. Then you flip to the 1st page, and you cannot put it down. It's like, The Grudge / The Ring type of feel when you look at the cover. You automatically think.... creepy! *shudders*
This book is about Katelyn. Katelyn is 15 years old. Katelyn is sad. Katelyn is dead.
Hayley and Taylor were friends of Katelyn. They knew that she was troubled, or sad. Either way they and everyone else knew that something was off with Katelyn. But, was she suicidal? Hayley & Taylor doesn't feel like she did. Usually when they have a feeling, it is leading them to something. In this case, Katelyn was leading them to something. The Truth. The truth about her death.
Starla, the Cheer Leading star. The popular girl. Then one everyone want to be & be friends with. Was Katelyn's friend. Or so, when she had time to be she was. Being little miss cheer star really did take up allot of time. Friends since childhood. But, it really don't take much to turn those you thought were your friends against you.
This book was a page turner. From the very 1st chapter I was intrigued. I was wanting to know what happened. You will enter the lives of many people involved in Katelyn's life. Some you will wish you never had.
Gregg Olsen's debut YA novel (he has previous books, very 1st YA one) was a win for me! Very much so! The writing drew me in, and held me there until the very end. Leaving me wanting more. SO much more. He leaves you with an ending, where literally my mouth was like this ---> :-O (in OMG mode)!!! I am very much looking forward to book 2, Betrayal which will be out in Fall 2012~ WHY, *sigh* That is to long a wait!
Go get this book. Now. Buy it. Add it to your TBR list. Something. Because this one will take you you to the edge, and PUSH YOU RIGHT OVER! Just like it says in the description. That is not a lie!!
