It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.
Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.
I wanted this book so bad when it came out that when I got it I wanted to devour it. Well, 1/2 way through the book I misplaced it. yes. Very sad. I finally found it. In the back of my car in my old book bag. So I was very happy, and after I finished a couple books I finished this one! I loved it. I loved that Gayle chose to do this book from Adam's point of view. It was hard to see the things that he was going through. And him not being with Mia. That broke my heart. He was trying to do everything to fill the void. But nothing was working. Then he found her. She was doing a recital. Then everything changed, forever.
This was a very heart felt book. Near the end I felt myself very emotionally wrapped up in Adam & Mia's story. Life. Love. Everything. It was very moving. Heartfelt. I loved it. I shed a few tears. Happy tears of course. If you have not read this book you really need to! Very worth your time.
