From Goodreads:
Girl meets boy.
Girl loses boy.
Girl gets boy back...
...sort of.
Ava can't see him or touch him, unless she's dreaming. She can't hear his voice, except for the faint whispers in her mind. Most would think she's crazy, but she knows he's here. Jackson. The boy Ava thought she'd spend the rest of her life with. He's back from the dead, as proof that love truly knows no bounds.
My Thoughts:
Lisa Schroeder, from the very 1st book that you have wrote (The Day Before:Review) that I read. I have been addicted to your books. They are very touching reads. Heartfelt. Real. I love them!
This book was very touching. It was sad at time, funny. It really made you think about life, & love. The power of love.
Ava had so much love for Jackson. Who died. At 15 Ava didn't know what to do, what was her next move. It seemed everyone around her wanted her to move on. Forget. They were only trying to help. Then she starts feeling things, hearing things.. Jackson? I read this book very fast. It pulls you in from the very beginning. It is also written in verse, like poetry. so pretty, amazing, BEAUTIFUL. My heart felt for Ava. Her longing to have Jackson. But her longing to live again.
She finds love in herself
she finds life
she finds hope!

Now I have to go pick this one up asap!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review.
Looks like an interesting premise. I've seen some other books take on the dead-boyfriend-comes-back-as-a-ghost trope, but not one with such a young protagonist. May just have to check this one out. Thanks for the rec!
