Blog Hop (6/24-6/27)

Book Blogger Hop

“When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”

I have always read. My mom said I would tell this long story out of a picture book when I was little. Then when I was in school. They were reading the grade you were in level books. I couldn't get into them. They were about war. Or slavery. Then every now and then we would have one on something different. Like, "The Outsiders". My thoughts on reading changed in the 9th grade. When my best friend at the time brought one of her mom's sultry adult books to class.. The name of it was Secrets by Brenda Joyce! It took me one day to read it and I was hooked after. Reading everything that I could. When I was younger I loved Adult genre. Now, that I am older (25) <--lol, I read more YA genre books. So, every since 9th grade I have been a reading machine! :)

What about you?
When did you start Reading?

  2. Cute story. I didn't like a lot of the stuff I was supposed to be reading in school, especially high school. But now that I can read whatever I want I love it. :)
    Happy Friday!

  6. I took a different approach to this week's question. I realized how important books had become in my life in 1999. Come see what happened.

  7. Isn't that the truth though? It just takes one book to start that motor rolling and then we're off and running and become reading machines!
    Have a great week!

  9. When did I first realize I loved reading? I wish I could prove a pre-natal predilection towards books but my memories don’t stretch back quite that far.

The earliest memories I can recall involved books. First having them read to me then reading them on my own the minute I had the ability.

Books have been a major part of my life ever since. My passion for the written word knowing no bounds, I started writing books on top of reading them about ten years ago.
